Profiling the Swedes going into the Major quarterfinals.

It seems truly worlds apart from the era in which NiP dominated Counter-Strike’s landscape. From that fabled five, only two remain in f0rest and GeT_RiGhT, being a inseparable duo since coming together under cArn, now a decade prior.

Change was slow, awfully slow, but several lineups later and now we have the reinvigorated Ninja’s of today, wielding the experience of dennis alongside the fresh blood of REZ and Lekr0.

Prestigious titles still appear too distant an expectation, nevertheless in this profile we’ll be delving into the strengths and weakness of this Swedish side alongside assessing their prospects going forward.

Overview

Team as a whole

  • I think it is pretty safe to say that you guys need to put in a lot of work if you want to get your Terrorist side on Train up to a good level and if I had to hazard a guess then I suspect that you have not practiced a whole lot on T Train as a team (at least with clear direction and intent)
  • Really not a fan of the calling showcased by you guys on T Train, poor economic decisions and…

Overview

Team as a whole

  • In totality your T side looks very basic, and whether that is through poor calling or lack of practice it needs to change should you want better results.
  • Your mid control on the whole is terrible, and just from a few games it seems competent short awpers give you guys massive issues. Watch some professional teams and use some of their methods to take mid control. …

Overview

Team as a whole

  • Overall most players have an understanding to make information plays and take risks when a man down, and aside from a couple instances these scenarios are played well.
  • For the style of Counter-Strike you guys currently play on CT Mirage I strongly think you buy much too aggressively, there are scenarios when in makes perfect sense to still buy up on lower nades or some on weaker guns but in a very similar vein to playing a man down sitting…

Lineup: Astroo, Danceyz, Kray, L1NK, frei

Overview

General

  • After going through your Inferno CT side I was quite disaopointed to see the drop off in coordination and variation when moving onto the T side.
  • Your brackets takes need work, I don’t believe I saw you guys using the short corner molly and any team with an aggressive awper that picks up on this can exploit you, Liquid’s bracket takes are refined and are a good candidate to fully copy.
  • Similarly, utility usage too take banana was too sparing…

Lineup: Astroo, Danceyz, Kray, L1NK, frei

Overview

  • Overall I quite like how you guys approach CT Inferno, banana takes are good, and have some nice variation with delayed takes amd flashing Danceyz into take the car angle.
  • CT pistol rounds are difficult to fault much, perhaps add another because with the caveat of my sample size I think I saw your double balc peek and out apps push pistol the majority of times.
  • I think L1NK and Kray had issues with utility usage…

Feedback

General

  • Round 5 everyone staying far too passive and static in the 5v4, a good option would have been huije taking apps control with a deep molly and swinging behind it.
  • Round 8 spacing on the mid push from adam and huije is awful, had they flashed out properly you likely both die without a kill, most teams will have the second player anti flash, then double swing once you get to the top of mid.
  • Round 16 (T pistol) jungle take pistol, it doesn’t make sense to be jumping stairs without a CT smoke…

Lineup: Boaster, derciak, nicoodoz, FLEAV, conoR

Feedback

General

  • Round 8 main problem with this mid push round is that nico’s spawn on the awp was not that great, which meant he could not get in position well enough to cover the swing on FLEAV as he pushes mid, I think a much more regular round would have been better, such as a common 2 man banana take.
  • Round 9 seems to be your default play to try and force banana control when on low nades, as much as losing duels cost this round I think there were other potentially better options such…

Feedback

General

  • Round 2 playing against second round force, why waste your only two smokes on smoking sandwich ebox and do nothing with it? There are no counter nades to force out, which is the main reason people throw sandwich ebox, should also be flashing over if you want to make it look like you are doing something.
  • Same round, use a better flash on the B hit than just an underarming one, can get some good pop flashes through the window above, would have been better off sending at least one upper instead of 5…
